HOW CREATE AND RUN A SUCCESSFUL MEME ACCOUNT

This section of the MemeSite is about how to create and run a successful meme account.

1. Reasons

  To begin with, when you decide to create a meme account, only make it if you are doing it for FUN not for a "high follower count" of "a lot of likes" If you make your account just for those reasons you will be disappointed, because it can take a long time to get 100 or so followers. Plus, if you only want a lot of followers and likes it isn't going to be something you like to do.

 2. Username

 Once you know that you are just making your account for fun and not for a high follow count you can decide on a username! I suggest making a username that is original, but catchy and fun. When I chose my username I didn't see any people who had the same username, and I also thought that my username was something that was catchy. I have noticed that some accounts make their usernames too original, and that sometimes drives away some followers. I have also seen meme accounts that have very similar usernames to other accounts, making it less likely that people will chose to follow their account instead of others with similar usernames. Another tip I have to choosing a username. Always make it easy for people to type in. Even though using a lot of _ or . may look cool, many people don't want to type all of those symbols so they don't search for your account. Always try to use only 1 or 2 _ and try to limit use of . because in this case less is more.

 3. Profile Picture

  The next thing you should do is be sure to have a profile picture that isn't cringey or blank. I've even noticed my self being reluctant to following accounts with cringey or weird profile pictures. When I see meme accounts with a blank profile picture I usually just assume they are a spam account, or they are an account that isn't used anymore so I normally don't follow them. Try and have a profile picture that is either from a popular meme, or coordinate it with your meme account.

4. Your Bio

    Make sure your bio says something about what kind of account you are, such as if you are a clean meme account be sure to mention that. Make a pretty low follower goal and do not put a time limit on it, you never know how long it will take before your account will start growing.

5. Your first post

     Make sure your first post is a meme that many people like and be sure to welcome them to your account in the caption. Also be sure to post a lot right after you make your account so people will know that you are actually going to post, I often do not follow accounts that have no or few posts because it can be hard to tell if they will ever post.

6. Getting Followers

    It may take awhile for you to get a lot of followers, but that is ok because it took me months to get too 100 followers. Also DM me if you make a meme account! I probably will follow it :)
